Tysean, better known as Ty, hails from the city of Philadelphia. At the age of six, Ty was sent to a live-in Christian school in Warminster, PA where he learned the values of Christianity, service, and the importance of educating oneself to the highest degree. Returning to Philadelphia a few years later, Ty was able to gain first-hand knowledge of the poor state of education in inner city schools and vowed to become a force actively fighting for change. Graduating from high school as an active member of the National Honors Society, Ty went on to pursue his Bachelors of Science in Secondary English Education at The Lincoln University of PA. Shorty before graduating with honors from the first HBCU, Ty was recruited as a contributing author to the published work, "Our Stories in Philadelphia," a collection of works that highlight the experiences of pre-service teachers in Philadelphia.
Holding strong to his values of educational pursuits, Ty is currently working on his M.Ed in Special Education and School Counseling. When not on the set of Bro Talk, Ty can be found teaching English and Language Arts in Philadelphia, leading praise and worship services in local churches, practicing his guitar, reading classic English and African literature, or simply hanging out with valued friends. Ty prides himself on being down to earth and approachable, living by one of his original Christian values found in the Book of Luke, "and as you wish that others would do to you, do so to them."
